Ephesians 2:13 ~ But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near. Ephesians 2:20-22 ~ having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

Has the enemy ever got into your head and made you feel completely inadequate, or unwanted or even a complete failure trying to discourage you from serving God? We hear so often that we each have a place in the kingdom of God, we each have a place to serve and there are people God wants us to reach. The enemy sneers at us from our lifelong insecurities and says, “God can’t use you, you’re too ignorant about scripture, you’re too caught up in your own sin, or you’re too busy to do anything else!” Why does he do that? The first reason is the obvious impact your serving God will have on other people. You may be the avenue God uses to bring someone else to Christ or to simply show someone else that God loves them. The second reason is the enemy wants you to miss out on the joy that comes from serving God. When you are in the midst of serving the Lord in an area that you are passionate about and using the spiritual gifts He has given you, there is an unexplainable joy that washes over you. There is a great sense of completeness when you surrender to Him and give of yourself to help other people know God.
This passage in Ephesians teaches the truth that when you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, He brought you close to Him. You have been given all that you need to do what the Lord asks you to do because you have the Holy Spirit within (near) you. Paul goes on to explain that Christ being the foundation started the holy temple which is His church and each of us are a stone that adds to the building. Without your stone there is a missing piece.
Paul also wrote in 1 Peter 2:4-5 ~ And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
We are all living stones that God uses to build up His spiritual house. When you allow the enemy’s lies to prevent you from taking your place in that house, you are causing holes in the house of God. Your place, your ministry, your service is an indispensable part of God’s kingdom. No amount of lies from the enemy will change the fact that YOU BELONG! Put your stone in the wall!
