Pslams 139:14 (The Living Bible) 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it.

Have you ever heard the song “Letter to Me” by Brad Paisley? Or “Dear Younger Me” by Mercy Me?

I have ALWAYS wished I could go back in time and speak to little Christy. There are so very many things I would tell her:

· You are good enough.

· You will be loved.

· There is nothing wrong with you that God can’t fix.

· You are beautiful just the way you are.

· Your mom knows more than you think she does and is the person who is always in your corner.

· Be patient with yourself.

· I promise you, that one guy you think you can’t live without, you can and will live just fine without him.

· You should never be required to do anything or be anything for someone to love you.

· Oh, the adventures you will have and places you will see!

That is just the beginning of the list of things I wish little Christy had learned earlier.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of the universe! This means that God decided this world needed a ‘you’. This idea was very difficult for me to understand and accept. It took me a very long time to come to terms with God creating me on purpose and for a purpose. Once I started to understand that God had a plan for me and wanted to use me in His kingdom, I had so much appreciation for His acceptance that I felt like I could never do enough for Him. God picked me up out of the garbage heap that I had made of my life, and said, “You, I can use!” How utterly amazing is that? Not only did He use me through all my messiness and imperfections early on in my walk with Him, He continues to use me no matter how many times I mess up. I think that a believer who fully grasps they are His workmanship and they are MARVELOUS, is unstoppable. That is the kind of believer I want to be for God.

One of my favorite movies is The Greatest Showman, and my favorite song from that show is “This is Me”. This is the attitude I want to carry myself with in my everyday life. This is me. This is who I am. Regardless of the mistakes I make or the problems I cause, I can be used in God’s kingdom. We all can!
