That's Who I Praise

I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately. Just not really connecting with God in my quiet time. Staying too focused on myself. It took one song on my drive back from lunch today. “That’s who I Praise” by Brandon Lake.

I'm gonna praise

I praise the mountain, movin' body, raising breaker of chains

I praise the heaven seated undefeated highest of names

That's who I praise, hey

I’m sure if anyone saw me during this worship experience, they would have thought I was having a seizure. I was gesturing pretty wildly. God’s word tells us that He inhabits the praise of His people (Psalm 22:3). I tend to have a pretty vivid imagination. When I think about that scripture, I am able to picture God, in all His glory, dwelling in my praise. Some translations state, “He is enthroned in the praises of Israel.” As I think about the mountain moving, body raising, breaker of chains being enthroned in my praises, it makes we feel that I can do anything. That my praise and prayers can literally move those mountains. My Risen Messiah…THAT’S WHO I PRAISE!!
